Welcome Teachers! The USS Constitution Museum is committed to providing teachers with the tools and support they need to teach about USS Constitution and the War of 1812. Here you'll find information on our K-12 interdisciplinary theme unit, teacher workshops, and resources to help fund a visit to the Museum.
This interdisciplinary K-12 curriculum provides activities for students and teachers to learn about the USS Constitution and the War of 1812. The curriculum is complete with print-ready worksheets, illustrations, primary sources and artifacts and online portals to our award winning A Sailor’s Life for Me game. All lessons and activities are linked to the National Curriculum Standards for Social Studies.
Need lesson plan ideas? Download free K-12 classroom activities and a 20 minute video that are teacher tested and approved. Find inspiration for teaching a wide range of disciplines through the lens of "Old Ironsides," America's most treasured ship.
The Museum is pleased to offer teacher workshops. Come away with concrete tools and ideas to use in your classroom with primary source documents and the stories and history of "Old Ironsides." Workshops are conducted at the USS Constitution Museum or at your school/site. Professional Development Points may be available.
