1801–1802   Barbary War, deployed to Mediterranean. Flagship of Commodore Richard Dale's Squadron.
   
1804–1805   Barbary War, assigned to the Mediterranean.
   
1809–1812   Patrolled the eastern coast of the United States. Patrolled the North Atlantic.
   
1813   War of 1812. Sailed to the coast of Europe, captured HMS Highflyer. Deployed to the West Indies.
   
1814   Blockaded at New York.
   
1815  
Sailed from New York under the command of Stephen Decatur. The next day USS President was chased by a squadron of British ships. After losing a fifth of his crew, Decatur surrendered.
 
USS President was taken into the British Royal Navy and used until she was broken up at Portsmouth, England, 1817.
